For a side project that I did in my printmaking class, I decided to create a series of mini posters for the artist of this comic book. She is a Canadian musician by the name Lights. With her most recent album release, she released a concept album that came with six comic issues.
I created these posters based on the main character form the comic, En.
I read the comic over a few times and did some thumbnail sketches on different poses I could see her in. The poster on the top left corner and bottom right corner are two designs I went forward with.
Once I had a couple thumbnails I wanted to design, I rendered it to a full page sketch.
I then had to print out my design and color it in. Once that was complete, I traced each layer of color so I could them it on my screen to make the mini posters.
Each screen had to be registered to line up to make the images look right.
Above are the two posters I currently have done. The complete series is a set of four mini posters.
